Student Athletics Interest Survey

Every two years, the Department of Education requires the district to survey our students to gather information about student participation and interest in athletics. The district is evaluating its athletic programs because of its commitment to providing equal opportunities under the regulations of Title IX and Minnesota Statute 126.21. This is a required survey mandated by the state.

Please have son or daughter take this survey. Only students currently in 7th through 11th grade should complete the survey. The survey should take approximately 10 minutes. Please log on to the following website to access the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/PHSStudentInterestSurvey  .

The deadline to complete the survey is June 9, 2017

I know this is a busy time of the year. Thank you for your help with this. If you have any questions, please call the Park Activities Office. Thanks

NEWS FROM THE NUTRITION DEPARTMENT

Ala Carte

Nutrition Services offers Ala Carte options at a variety of school buildings, in addition to the regular school breakfast or lunch. For a complete list of snacks and pricing available to elementary, middle and high school students, please go to the district website @www.sowashco.org and then click on “Lunch Menus” and then “Menus and Pricing”.  It is the priority of the Nutrition Services Department to have students select and enjoy the complete breakfast or lunch meal.

**If for any reason you wish to set limits on your student’s account, please contact your school cashier.

SCHOOL POLICIES

Lunch with students - if a parent/guardian wants to have lunch with their student, we will find a space for them in the building. Parent/guardians will no longer be allowed to eat in our lunchroom with their students.

After school visitors - Need to report to the main office if they wish to see a teacher after school from 2:30pm-3:15pm. We want our staff to continue to be available for parents before and after school, but under normal circumstances it should be by appointment.
